This is American dry stone masonry.
I’m Megan Michelle, and I craft dry stone walls that live in harmony with the land. I use no mortar, just friction, gravity and a little bit of spatial reasoning.
I live out of my Sprinter full-time. And my goal is to build a dry stone wall in every state in America.
I love dry stone because it uses my mind, body and soul. My clients are my best friends. I want to build something meaningful.
My Team
Cozy
Cozy is my dry stone walling co-founder, site supervisor and sales manager. We always price in Cozy’s hugs to the cost estimate. They are quite valuable, but we try to offer bulk discounts.
Tools
Besides Cozy, I’m accompanied by my simple tools. Dry stone walling is so fun because it takes so little to do. There’s no confusing directions to follow or complicated equipment to run.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer historic dry stone wall rebuilding and new dry stone wall building services.
I love historic rebuilds because I get to pay tribute to the masons that came before me.
I also do custom vernacular architecture dry stone projects, such as arches and spring houses. Anything that you can come up with, I can probably build.
As a one-woman show, I usually keep my projects fairly manageable in scope for just my own hnds and more primitive tools. -
Please fill out the form below, so I can get to know your project better. I will do a phone consult first, ask for pictures to be sent, then if I think if it’s general a fit, I will conduct a site visit and finally, provide a custom quote.

My dry stone style is fine-jointed, intuitive, historically-accurate, and built to last.
Because I have a Sprinter van conversion, I can live at build sites full-time until the project is finished. No commuting necessary. All I need is 20 volt plugin and a water spigot, and I’m self-sufficient from there.
Cozy’s cute hugs and kisses come as added bonuses and are included in the cost of the build! -
It’s best to reach Meg through the form below, and she will call you when she’s most available.
Given the nature of dry stone work, she attends to her communications on a weekly basis. So expect a 1 week turnaround once you submit your form. -
I charge per linear square foot based on the historic rebuild height.
Meaning, a higher wall costs more than a shorter wall. Dry stone wall rebuilds in general start at $125/ ft.
For custom projects that require new/ sourced stone, there is no estimate as it’s based entirely on each project. -
Collaborative, honest, attentive to detail and straightforward. Cozy and I love what we do, and it shows.
I often say my clients are my best friends. We end up sharing meals and campfires together, usually.
One stone at a time.
